Carole J. Spangler, Ph.D., M.B.A., Founder and Managing Member
Dr. Spangler holds a Ph.D. from The Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from the University of Washington. She has held a variety of positions in the biopharma industry, working for large and small companies, and a university, both in the laboratory and in business development. She was previously Director of Business Development at Dendreon Corporation. Dr. Spangler also currently serves as Adjunct Professor at the School of Business and Economics at Seattle Pacific University.

Michael J. Decklever, M.B.A., Business Development
Prior to joining the company, Mr. Decklever served as a marketing consultant on a variety of projects across a wide range of industries including biotech and medical imaging.  Most recently, he was part of the marketing team for Comcast. He holds an MBA with an emphasis in marketing from the University of Washington.

Carmen Hagios, Ph.D., Sales and Marketing, Laboratory Equipment

Dr. Hagios holds a PhD from the University of Basel, Switzerland and has expertise in Cell and Molecular Biology. Prior to joining the company, Dr. Hagios was a postdoctoral fellow at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley and Senior Scientist at Pangenex Inc. in Seattle. Dr Hagios has sales and marketing experience in a national online book publishing business.

Disree Hewitson, Sales and Marketing, Medical Equipment

Ms. Hewitson brings a depth of sales experience to SciMercor.  Prior to joining the company, she worked in sales of luxury goods, such as jewelery and fine collectables, on cruise ships. In addition, she worked in upscale health and fitness clubs as a sales professional. These experiences have helped Ms. Hewitson develop a strong focus on customer needs and satisfaction.

Anna Moren, Sales Support
Ms. Moren brings a strong client-focused approach to SciMercor; developed over the past 5 years while working as a paralegal for a large international litigation firm. During this time, she gained valuable experience in high-stakes, complex medical litigation with an emphasis on meeting the needs of her clients.  Prior to that she held a position as a trained technician, performing stress tests on patients, and received her phlebotemist certificate.  Ms. Moren holds a BA from Princeton University.

Catherine Droden, Finance
With a B.S. in Biology from Washington State University and post graduate studies in Accounting, Ms. Droden brings a variety of education and experience to SciMercor. She has worked in management for both large and small companies in industries as diverse as reinsurance and IT support, as well as running her own small business. She has over 8 years experience as a full charge bookkeeper and financial advisor.
